Subject: "Portrait of prime minister of Greece Eleftherios Venizelos". 
Signed: Signed lower left "A.Vranas."

Done maintenance in April 2012 by affiliates of the House Botsis Auctions. The project was framed framed old, about 120 years.

After a photo shooting that took place in Paris to cover the election campaign of Eleftherios Venizelos, several photos were selected photos. One of these photos was used for this painting by Andreas Vranas, between 1925-1930. Posters and various documents that were used in the election campaign of Eleftherios Venizelos and were printed in Paris had been printed based on this work. Similar work is included at the collection of the artist's grandson, Andrew S. Vranas, and is reported in the literature (2004) of Prontzas,  Evangelos; Iliopoulou-Rogan, D et al.
Stelios Lydakis indicate a documented chronology of the life of A. Vranas; 1860-1933.
Evangelos Prontzas et al. listed chronologies of A. Vranas; 1870-1935.
[Biography: Andreas Vranas studied painting at Corfu island where he has served for many wears as a professor at the Corfu School of Fine Arts. He was involved with portraits and iconography. His painting is distinguished by its refined design but also by its academic character and heavy colours. The art works of Andreas Vranas are located at the Municipal Art Gallery of Corfu, the Koutlidis collection, in churches and private collections].
